Quinta do Cruzeiro
Vinho Verde Branco Reserva
Grapes: Alvarinho and mixed old vines from the Auzendes vineyard.
Harvest: manually to 20kg boxes.
Vinification: Manual harvesting. Slight crushing of the grapes, followed by 8 hours of skin maceration. Gentle pressing. Static settling, fermentation with controlled temperature in used French oak barrels, ageing on fine lees with battonage until Jully 2014.
Colour: Bright, greenish with citron reflexes.
Aroma: Young, mineral and austere, showing afterword’s its citron notes.
Taste: Soft texture, balanced acidity and minerality, presents fruit in the mouth. Great creaminess.
Slight barrique notes. Long and delicate ending. Complex with harmony.
Serving: Ideal as appetizer or with grilled fish and cooked seafood. Best enjoyed at a temperature between 12-14ºC.
